About the Instructor
Dexter Green is the owner and operator of Delta Group Consulting LLC. His mission is to help new and experienced firearm owners build confidence through safety, education, and responsible training.
Dexter is a retired United States Navy veteran with 20 years of honorable service as an Aviation Ordnanceman and Career Recruiter. After retiring from the Navy in 2013, he continued serving the community as a law enforcement officer with the Elizabeth City Police Department, where his experience included patrol, investigations, narcotics, SWAT, and work with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
Dexter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Criminal Behavior and brings over 30 years of combined military, law enforcement, and firearms instruction experience. He is an NRA Certified Instructor, North Carolina DOJ Firearms Instructor, and FFL Licensed Dealer committed to helping citizens train smart, carry safe, and stay ready.
Training Courses
Classroom-based introduction to firearm safety, common firearm types, ammunition basics, safe storage, purchasing considerations, and responsible ownership. Firearms and ammunition are not required for this course.

Small-group firearms instruction designed to build confidence, safe handling habits, and practical shooting fundamentals with personalized coaching.

North Carolina concealed carry training covering firearm safety, legal responsibilities, safe handling, conflict avoidance, and the required live-fire qualification.

Virginia concealed carry education focused on safe, responsible carry. Range fee is included. Virginia residents are not required to shoot, but an optional shooting portion is offered to help students demonstrate safe firearm operation.

Safety-focused defensive shooting concepts, mindset, decision-making, defensive accuracy, and practical range skills in a controlled training environment.

Hands-on fundamentals for safe handgun handling, grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, loading, unloading, and live-fire marksmanship basics.

A step-by-step educational course for North Carolina and Virginia residents who want to understand the Federal Firearms License application process, required records, compliance expectations, and common mistakes to avoid. Students receive a hard copy SOP Manual and a firearms records log book.

One-on-one instruction tailored to the student’s experience level, confidence, and personal training goals.

Students attending live-fire training must bring proper safety equipment, including eye and hearing protection. Prescription eyeglasses are acceptable for eye protection.
All firearms and ammunition will be inspected by the instructor or a staff member before training begins. No live ammunition is permitted in the classroom.
Please dress according to the weather and training environment. Closed-toe shoes are required on the range. Open-toe shoes, sandals, and flip-flops are not permitted.
Introduction to Firearms: Firearms and ammunition are not required for this classroom-based course.
Course availability, range access, and final scheduling may vary by location and class size.
